State Relations

The Office of Government and Community Affairs State Relations Team is tasked with advocating for the university's legislative and executive branch priorities as approved by the FIU Board of Trustees. Some of the priorities for FIU include securing state investments, special projects funding, and monitoring important statewide legislation. It serves as the key point of contact to foster relationships with the Governor’s Office, the Florida Legislature and state government agencies to strengthen higher education and research opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff.
